Our Business Class Mail system is the one used by most Time Warner Cable customers, especially those who want their own domain name to strengthen their company's brand and Internet presence.
General Usage Guidelines
Our Business Class Mail system is designed to provide our customers with a vehicle for sending person-to-person and/or mail that's necessary to help you run your business; think of it as a replacement for or at least augmentation to an Exchange server in your office location. If you have a need to do large-scale marketing through email, our Business Class Mail system may not be the best platform for that; instead, unless email is a core component of your business (in which case you're probably running your own servers, anyway), large-scale email marketing of your business is probably best done by employing the services of an Email Service Provider.
Accessing and Sending Mail
Our Business Class Mail system supports the following ways of accessing your email:
Either method of access is available from any internet connection; it is not required for you to be on the Time Warner Cable network to access or send mail using our servers, although that is the most common method for doing so.
If you want to use Webmail on our Business Class Mail system, point your browser to https://mail.twcbc.com/ Your username is your full email address (e.g., email@example.com) and your password is your email password.
If you prefer to use a mail client such as Outlook, or Thunderbird, or something similar, you can use these instructions for configuring your client properly, including setting up SMTP Authentication, which is required for all connections to our Business Class Mail system. The server name to use is smtp.biz.rr.com.
Our Business Class Mail system has more generous rate limits than our Residential Mail system, limits that are designed to allow you to comfortably use email in running your business but at the same time protect the system from abuse that can put all customers at risk.
Our Business Class Mail system will permit no more than 500 recipients on any outbound message; this includes the To:, Cc:, and Bcc: lists combined.
We limit outbound messages to 30MB in size.
Customers are limited to sending to no more than 3,000 recipients in a given hour.
Newly created accounts have even more strict limits placed on them than these shown here.
Note: Our per message limits for both recipients and size are our limits; sites that you may be trying to send mail to may have limits that are more restrictive than ours (e.g., a site may not accept a message larger than 10MB) and we cannot guarantee that your mail will be accepted by the receiving site. If a destination rejects your message because it's too large for their policies, you will have to send a smaller message to that site.
